     ispunct - punctuation character test

SYNOPSIS    [Toc]    [Back]

     #include <ctype.h>

     int
     ispunct(int c);

DESCRIPTION    [Toc]    [Back]

     The ispunct() function tests for any printing character  except space
     (` ') or a character for which isalnum(3) is true.

RETURN VALUES    [Toc]    [Back]

     The  ispunct()  macro  returns  zero  if the character tests
false or non-zero
     if the character tests true.

     The ispunct() function conforms to ANSI X3.159-1989  (``ANSI
C'').

CAVEATS    [Toc]    [Back]

     The argument to ispunct() must be EOF or representable as an
unsigned
     char; otherwise, the result is undefined.
