     isalnum - alphanumeric character test

SYNOPSIS    [Toc]    [Back]

     #include <ctype.h>

     int
     isalnum(int c);

DESCRIPTION    [Toc]    [Back]

     The isalnum() macro tests for any character for which  isalpha(3) or
     isdigit(3) is true.

RETURN VALUES    [Toc]    [Back]

     The  isalnum()  macro  returns  zero  if the character tests
false or non-zero
     if the character tests true.

     The isalnum() function conforms to ANSI X3.159-1989  (``ANSI
C'').

CAVEATS    [Toc]    [Back]

     The argument to isalnum() must be EOF or representable as an
unsigned
     char; otherwise, the result is undefined.
