     mvIsMovieFile, mvIsMovieFD, mvIsMovieMem -	identify movie instances

     DMboolean mvIsMovieFile( const char* fileName )

     DMboolean mvIsMovieFD( int	fd )

     DMboolean mvIsMovieMem( void* pointer, size_t size	)

DESCRIPTION    [Toc]    [Back]

     mvIsMovieFile, mvIsMovieFD, and mvIsMovieMem test whether a movie
     instance is present in a file, a file descriptor, or in memory.  Only
     movies in supported formats (SGI, QuickTime, MPEG1, and AVI) are
     recognized.  They return DM_TRUE if a movie is present, and DM_FALSE if
     not.
