tsdaemon(1M) tsdaemon(1M)

NAME    [Toc]    [Back]

     tsdaemon -	starts tape support

SYNOPSIS    [Toc]    [Back]

     /usr/etc/ts/tsdaemon [ -C config_file ] [ -r ] [ -t ]

DESCRIPTION    [Toc]    [Back]

The tsdaemon command starts tape support.	If you configure a system to
do	so, it is started during the system boot.

To	modify the exiting tape	support	personality-daemon definitions after
tsdaemon has been started,	send signal 17 to tsdaemon to request that it
read a new	configuration.	tsdaemon rereads the configuration file
specified at startup and modifies its personality-daemon information.
The existing tsdaemon options remain unaffected.

For more about the	personality-daemon information and the tsdaemon
options, see the ts.config(4) man page for	a discussion of	the
     configuration file.

The tsdaemon command accepts the following	options:

-C	config_file Specifies the file that contains the tape support
configuration. If you do not specify the -C option, tape
support defaults to	the /etc/config/ts.config file.

-r Removes all	trace files before creating new	ones.

     -t Enables tracing.
