NAME    [Toc]    [Back]

       prestoctl_svc - Prestoserve control daemon

SYNOPSIS    [Toc]    [Back]

       /usr/sbin/prestoctl_svc

DESCRIPTION    [Toc]    [Back]

The prestoctl_svc RPC-based daemon supports the use of the
dxpresto graphical interface for Prestoserve. You must run
the prestoctl_svc daemon if you want to use dxpresto to
monitor and administer a Prestoserve cache and its driver.

The daemon can be started manually, or it can be started
each time you reboot by adding the command to a startup
sequence script for the machine running the Prestoserve
       software.

You must already be running the portmap daemon if you want
       to use the prestoctl_svc daemon.

Refer to presto(8) and to dxpresto(8X) for more information.
