     gfxinit - initialize all graphics subsystems

SYNOPSIS    [Toc]    [Back]

     /usr/gfx/gfxinit [-v ]

DESCRIPTION    [Toc]    [Back]

     gfxinit extracts the type of each graphics	subsystem resident, and
     initializes it.  The initialization procedure typically consists of
     loading microcode.	 If the	-v option is used, a verbose description of
     the procedure steps is displayed.	Typically the description includes the
     full path name of the microcode files been	loaded.

     /usr/gfx/ucode/*

NOTES    [Toc]    [Back]

     gfxinit is	executed by the	X window system	in normal circumstances, and
     should not	be used	directly.
