NAME    [Toc]    [Back]

       sys_attrs_ppp - ppp subsystem attributes

DESCRIPTION    [Toc]    [Back]

This reference page lists and describes attributes for the
Point-to-Point Protocol (ppp) kernel subsystem. Refer to
the sys_attrs(5) reference page for an introduction to the
       topic of kernel subsystem attributes.

Number of ppp interfaces that the system can support
 simultaneously.

              Default value: 1 (interface)

              Minimum value: 1

              Maximum value: 1024

You should increase this value if your system needs
to support multiple ppp interfaces (for example,
multiple dial-in and dial-out lines that can be
              used simultaneously).

A 64-bit value that is used by pppd as a tentative
local interface ID in IP6CP negotiation process.

Default value: Randomly generated by the system

              Minimum value: 2

              Maximum value: 18 quintillion
