       machine - return architecture type of machine

SYNOPSIS    [Toc]    [Back]

       machine

DESCRIPTION    [Toc]    [Back]

       The machine command displays on standard output the architecture
 of the machine. The machine command is used within
       shell  procedures  to  tailor  the  results  to a specific
       architecture.

       The exit value of machine is always zero.
