NAME    [Toc]    [Back]

     sin, sinf - sine functions

SYNOPSIS    [Toc]    [Back]

     #include <math.h>

     double
     sin(double x);

     float
     sinf(float x);

DESCRIPTION    [Toc]    [Back]

     The sin() function computes the sine of x (measured in radians). The
     sinf() function is a single precision version of sin(). A
large magnitude
 argument may yield a result with little or no significance. For a
     discussion of error due to roundoff, see math(3).

RETURN VALUES    [Toc]    [Back]

     The sin() and sinf() functions return the sine value.

SEE ALSO    [Toc]    [Back]

     acos(3),   asin(3),  atan(3),  atan2(3),  cosh(3),  math(3),
sinh(3), tan(3),
     tanh(3)

STANDARDS    [Toc]    [Back]

     The sin() function conforms to ANSI X3.159-1989 (``ANSI
C'').

OpenBSD      3.6                            May      2,      1991
