configec0state - activate or deactivate the primary interface
/usr/sysadm/privbin/configec0state [-n] -up | -down
This command with the -up option activates the primary interface. The
file /etc/config/ifconfig-1.options is updated. The -down option
deactivates the primary interface. If your system is a standalone
machine or you are using some other network interface, such as ISDN or
modem instead of the ethernet interface, you may want to deactivate the
ethernet interface. When the ethernet port is not connected and the
interface is still up, you may see a dialog box that pops up at a regular
interval with the message "No ethernet .... Check your ethernet cable.".
Setting the state to -down will suppress this message.
-n Restart the network after making the changes. This has the effect
of killing any applications with files open on a network file system
or current working directories in network file system. If this
switch is not used, the system will not be fully configured until
the network is restarted (such as with a reboot).
/etc/config/ifconfig-1.options interface options file
sysmgr(1M), runpriv(1M), ifconfig(1M).
