SETNAMESERVERS(1M) SETNAMESERVERS(1M)

NAME    [Toc]    [Back]

setNameServers - set nameserver entries in	/etc/resolv.conf

SYNOPSIS    [Toc]    [Back]

     /usr/sysadm/privbin/setNameServers	[ nameserver1 ]	[ nameserver2 ]	[
     nameserver3 ]

DESCRIPTION    [Toc]    [Back]

setNameServers is a privileged command that edits /etc/resolv.conf	to
contain the nameserver entries specified on the command line. After
setNameServers runs, the only nameserver entries in /etc/resolv.conf will
be	those that were	specified on the command line.	Thus, if no nameserver
entries are specified, all	nameserver entries in /etc/resolv.conf will be
     removed.

Between 0 and 3 nameservers can be	specified on the command line.

FILES    [Toc]    [Back]

     /etc/resolv.conf	DNS configuration file.
