nisSetup - Set up Network Information System
/usr/sysadm/privbin/nisSetup [-d <domainname>] [-t <type>] [-n]
[<on|off>]
nisSetup configures the NIS domain name, and turns on/off the NIS state (
chkconfig yp on/off ). This command is used by Set Up and Start NIS and
Turn Off NIS tasks.
-d <domainname>
Set the NIS domainname.
-n Resart the network after making the changes. This has the effect of
killing any applications with files open on a network file system or
current working directories in network file system. If this switch
is not used, the system will not be fully configured until the
network is restarted (such as with a reboot).
-t <type>
type is one of client, server, or master, representing yp, ypserv,
or ypmaster respectively. Default is client ( yp )
<on|off>
Set the NIS state on or off ( chkconfig yp on/off ). This command
will turn the nsd service on (chkconfig nsd on) if NIS is being
turned on. yp/ypserv/ypmaster is turned on/off depending upon the
type ( -t flag ).
/var/yp/ypdomain The NIS domain name

/etc/config/ypserv The ypserv configuration file
/etc/config/nsd The nsd configuration file
