 NAME    [Toc]    [Back]
      devnm - device name

 SYNOPSIS    [Toc]    [Back]
      /usr/sbin/devnm [name ... ]

 DESCRIPTION    [Toc]    [Back]
      For each name specified, the devnm command identifies the special file
      associated with the mounted file system where the named file or
      directory resides.

 EXAMPLES    [Toc]    [Back]
      The command:

           /usr/sbin/devnm /usr

      produces:

           /dev/dsk/c1d0s9 /usr

      if /usr is mounted on /dev/dsk/c1d0s9.

 FILES    [Toc]    [Back]
      /dev/dsk/*
      /etc/mnttab         Mounted file system table.

 STANDARDS COMPLIANCE    [Toc]    [Back]
      devnm: SVID2, SVID3
