     motd - message of the day

DESCRIPTION    [Toc]    [Back]

     The file /etc/motd	contains information intended to be displayed on the
     terminal at login time.  For sh(1)	users, this function is	performed by
     the script	/etc/profile.  For csh(1) users, the /etc/cshrc	displays the
     contents of the message of	the day	file.
