NAME    [Toc]    [Back]

sswsextr -	extract	working	set files from SpeedShop ideal-time experiment

SYNOPSIS    [Toc]    [Back]

     sswsextr <DSOname>	<experiment-file> [tag]

DESCRIPTION    [Toc]    [Back]

sswsextr is a script that will determine how many caliper-points were
recorded in the given experiment file, and	extract	working-set files for
each consecutive interval for the named DSO and produce a working-set
list file,	suitable for processing	with sscord or ssorder. DSOname may
either be the base	executable, or any DSO contained in the	executable.
The experiment file must be from an ideal experiment.

Working set files will be named with the convention:
	       <DSOname>.<tag>.ws.<left,right>
where left	and right are the caliper point	numbers. If the optional tag
argument is not specified,	the experiment-file argument will be used as
     the tag.

The Working-set list file will be named:
	       <DSOname>.<tag>.wslist
and will contain the names	of all of the working-set files.
